For those who are using the software for Android and Apple thanks for your feedback and support.

I have just put up a new version of the server software - no update for your device required, just the software on your PC:
http://www.coogara.com/shopbot.aspx

People who had a problem with getting it to produce the correct movement should find that this is now working better.

There was a request to allow X/Y to be swapped. This is available in the property settings in this new version. Double click the tray icon to access properties. By making the change in the server properties it automatically affects any connected device. I hope I've given the changed X/Y the expected perspective from down the left end of the machine. I'm not sure if the layout of some of the ShopBots.

As always, try out the new version to ensure that everything works correctly on your machine. If you run into any problems, let me know, and revert to using the pervious version of your software.

Thanks

Graeme

Graeme, Not on this subject but I saw your concerns about desktop with spindle and I'm in the same boat as you were. What did you wind up buying extra for collets and bits after you got it? Accessories ? Anything you would do different? I'm going to be doing fine detail work on hard maple and hard exotics. I got a ton of good advice, but someone who has just gone through it is best. Noise vs expectations? scottkport@ gmail.com is best as I'm still not good at PM(I created a lot of work for Nancy by simply hitting reply) scott plaisted If it's a problem, don't worry about it.

Graeme, Your reply came to me as a PM but it is not showing up on my inbox and if I reply in gmail WILL slap my hand again. I am going to be doing fonts and braille in hard maple as well so it sounds as if your advice will help(of course my font will be on 2" blocks) thanks for the quick response. taking the online two-day seminar today and couldn't sleep and got frustrated in the Vcarve demo software trying to put a flat bottom script with sharp corners on a tray full of blocks with the bits in their library. Have a good day and thanks. scottp@gmail.com
