View Full Version : "Label finding error" hmmmm?

I ran about a half hour routine that calls up many cut files and it ran fine once. [This is a routine I've run dozens of times in the past.]
Then when I tried to run it again, it quit part way through with a "lost com" message.
I did what I usually do which is shut down the computer and the Control Box and restart both, re-establish my zeros and run it again using the FG command to start in the middle of it. It ran for a while then quit [didn't back out of the stock] with a "Label finding error." message, which is a new one for me. [The only prompt option of course is "OK" - wish there was a button to push that says "Bummer!"]

I checked the file(s) but couldn't find any problem with them, so did my shutdown restart routine again.
Once again it started running it fine then stopped but not in the same place it stopped the first two times again with the "Label finding error" prompt.

I have searched that error message in the forum, but don't see anything that applies to me. Since it already has run this combination of files many times before and did it successfully just prior to the issue, I'm guessing it isn't about actual file names, but I'm open to ideas.

I have a PRS standard with two Zs running control software version 3.6.42 with old control box [2007] and control card.
Thanks,

Hey David:

Check out your grounds and make sure you didn't break one or have one come loose or get a little corrosion screwing up the contact.

Dave,
I did just go and tighten everything I could find related to grounding and voila! The part file runs!
Thanks...
David

Us Florida boys got to stick together!!

Glad that was it. It is one of the most important articles of regular maintenance.
