Chicom spindle / vdf warmup routine?

If any of you are using a Chinese spindle (mine is HuanYang) and have
figured out how to turn it (and the cooler) on from SBot and / or have
an automated warmup routine- please share. I have the 10k pot installed
and it runs and sounds good- and added a longer wire (ribbon) so that
the snap-out control panel can be remote mounted. Let me know if you
would like part numbers- takes 10 minutes. Thanks Gene

Hey Gene. I am doing some research to see if I can turn on and off the spindle with the output from shopbot software. I need to find out what the inputs on the vfd are. I am interested in adding a pot and the longer ribbon cable to mine. Just got one and doing first cuts today.

I have not gotten to this yet- just got the bot running well enough to make
parts this weekend. Bob posted the 10k pot write up in the last few days
and the ribbon cable and terminations are standard computer stuff. I did buy
a 5v trigger relay but that is as far as I have gotten- is your spindle water
cooled or air? Gene
