T slot source

I am arriving at a place where I just need to rebuild my spoil board. Currently I have four T slots (one each foot) along the Y axis. I want to go to one every six inches. It looks like Rockler needs my first borne and a permanent hold on my credit card for the T slot material to do this.

Any one have a good source?

Tom - I agree with Ron. Used 8020 when machine was set up 18mos ago.

For what it's worth- I just removed all that t-track, filled in the channels with solid wood as I glued down a new spoiler. I found I rarely used t-track, and the individual pods were troublesome for vac leakage (at least the way I had set up). I am MUCH happier with vac performance now.

As to items that need screws/clamps - the 1.5" hold down grooves that are now occupied by hardwood are very easy to drive straight into. This does not cause vac leakage, since they are vac zone separators. If a hole or two bothers me, a little wood filler makes it better.

Seems contradictory, but found it works well for me.

For smaller projects (signs, plaques, etc) I've gone to using a 4' x 4' sheet of MDO with T-track slots in it. The CNC vacuum hold down holds the MDO tightly to the table and the clamps hold the piece to the MDO.

I made the oak slabs and routed slots in them so they are adjustable.

For work pieces longer then 4' I used the remaining MDO and put 3 T-tracks into it is an extension. Both sheets can easily be held to the spoil board with the vacuum.

It works GREAT!

I use a piece of slotwall that I vac to the table. I cut a lot of slotwall so I have extra that is damaged
