Ever used a cove bit???

Hello all. Has anyone ever attempted to use a cove bit on their shopbot (non-bearing of course...)?

Yes-people have. For cnc you can use a dish cutting (bowl) bit if you are looking to do a flat bottom inset with rounded bottom edge. If you are simply looking to do a radius groove the width of the bit then you use a ball nose. The recommendation is, as always, a high quality and sharp bit and feeds and speeds adjusted for the material being cut.
