Buying multi color layered plastic

I am looking to make some projects with my hs students and looking for two color layered plastic. Probably something around 1/4", Everything I am finding is very expensive. Are they are any scrap options or cheaper options?

I was surprised to see 24"x24" colorcore sheets at the local woodcraft store. Almost definitely at boutique pricing, but may be worth checking out for partial sheets.

These guys will sell you cut to size pieces of colorcore.

What about using Corian and paint? Talk to some of the cabinet installers and see if you can get there drop-offs donated to the school
