You should Join local arts groups local associations. This helps you get leads to work and helps keep you posted on what is poplar now and what the trends are.

Kentucky Monthly seeks
artwork for the holidays
Kentucky Monthly is seeking gift items to feature in its annual Holiday Gift Guide. Both holiday-themed and non-themed gifts will be considered.
Visual and craft artists and performing artists wishing to be considered for inclusion in the Guide can send an email to the executive editor at kim@kentuckymonthly.com. The email should include a description of the item(s), a brief artist bio and a photo of the item. Photos should be in JPG format and high resolution (minimum of 300 dpi sized at a minimum of 4” x 6”). Please also include a phone number at which you can be reached.
Deadline to submit information is Sept. 28.
Please do not call or send follow-up emails to inquire whether or not your item(s) will be included in the Guide. Artists whose work will be featured in the Guide will be notified by Oct. 26.
