Does anyone know if you can do a v carve in old english font in aspire 3.5 or do you need version 4 or will it even do it in version 4 ? hope this makes sense to someone

If you have the old English font, either version will carve it... sometimes poor quality fonts will have open vectors and won't v-carve correctly.

you can always node edit your fonts to clean them up if they are problematic
