I stumbled across this...
http://www.systime.com/Off_Lease_Refurbished_Dell_OptiPlex_GX280_P4_SFF_p/s-del-gx280-28cd512sf40xpp.htm
thought it might make a good control PC. Not an endorsement nor in any way affiliated.

I have a GX270 model and love it--it too was refurbished. I really like it because it is so compact, not big and bulky. Mine does just fine for my use.

I also use that PC for the shopBot. Check with your local Computer shop before ordering. This is a common PC is all big companies, and local computer stores ofter have these as off lease or used PC's.
I paid $50 for mine locally, with windows XP.

I bought mine for $50.00 too. They had them stacked to the ceiling. I got mine to last me just a couple months until I decided on a perm. computer, I've had it for almost 3 years now!
Got the same one. Bought off eBay for $75.00. Does a very good job running the bot.
