Where did the sign artists go?

Posts are few and far between. Must have moved on to other equipment and outlets.

They are waiting to follow your lead.

Thanks but no thanks.

We need more examples of what's being done. We know the craft is doing well with lots of interesting work. However this forum specializes in helping non-sign businesses and part time. The net effect are fewer posting and examples of creative work.

About a year ago Joe you posted something that really caught my attention. It was 2 large signs that was bolted together. There was tubing that ran down in between the signs and the signs actually sat on an L shape off of the tubing. I know that is a crude description but you said then that the tubing was custom made.

Now my question is to anyone that can respond. Are these brackets sold commercially anywhere. I have done the usual searches but have not come up with anything yet. The picture will give you an idea of the metal bracket.

Rick,

As you may remember, I sold off my CNC and job out all my routing and 3D work.

What you guys need are fellows who are blazing new trails. That's where the good information will be found. But it takes time and effort to post. Most pro's I know won't go to the trouble. Why should they?

I've moved on to greener pastures but would like to see you guys showing what's being made by postings. I'll give little hints now and then. Just like I did with Eugene's sign although there's little payoff.

One is a sign and the other artwork.

I did not know that your job description changed.

Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn from time to time. So many of my ideas i have copied from others blended with my own ideas. The hostess stand was a no brainer, it is that restaurants logo. The stand itself was built by a contractor and Todd of 4m3d did the artwork.

But i still have so much to learn and thanks for the comments.

I work exclusively right now with hardwood and the planks i use measure in right at 1.7 which limits the z.

Excellent work Rick,

You've come a long, long way with your skills. I'd be proud to have done either of these panels.

I am like a sponge and keep soaking in knowledge, now if I could just learn how to retain it.
