Season's greetings from ShopBot Tools! All I want for Christmas is a straight piece of material to work with; however, our humid summer has left me with some kinks, cups, twist and bows in some of my material. Traditional woodworking equipment does a great job of cleaning up some of these warped boards, but there are some advantages to using CNC to get results that one could not obtain with traditional woodworking equipment. For example, a twisted board going through a planer will only plane the two faces, but it will not plane the twist out of the board. Using a ShopBot I will demonstrate how to successfully machine a twist out of a board and then machine it to a desired thickness.
If anyone has any other examples they would like me to demonstrate please send me an Email, I will be doing my filming today and tomorrow and will gladly add your thoughts to the training if time permits.
As always, if you cannot attend I will be recording this and posting it to our Online Training page. http://www.shopbottools.com/mSupport/tutorials.htm
Thank you all for participating.
