Kyle,
Here's a bit of info for the control box/spindle requirements. Hooking up a PRSalpha (http://www.shopbottools.com/ShopBotDocs/files/Control%20box%20setup%20PRSA%202012.pdf). Other gantry tool docs here (http://www.shopbottools.com/ShopBotDocs/gantry.htm). Take a look at the grounding one while you're at it.
Black Box is 220 single phase I believe, but I don't know the amps. Maybe someone that has built one will chime in. Are you building yours or buying?

If I could be in the shop all day I would have it be a project for the kids, but that is not the case so I will end up buying one when we get the money.
That being said the wiring is be donated and will be installed sometime in the next week, so I need to know which way to go.
My thoughts are with the blackbox things should work well, but I also have dreams of getting a desktop for our school as well so the $1,000.00 difference between the box and two feins is a big selling point if they can handle it.
We will be doing a lot of sheet work so we will need the vac table.
