Nice.

Makes me wish I had a laser printer instead of an inkjet printer.

For more information on the process do a search for "Laser toner transfer".

It can also be done in colour (color in the US of A).

Print your logo in reverse on your ink jet printer and go to the local office supply store, they can copy it, the copy will be the same as a Laser printer copy.

The boss has a sweet laser printer, it's even color.
Makes me wonder if I can do it with a heat gun and a wood block squeegie.
That way I'd have exactly zero dollars tied up.

I was thinking more of a iron to see if that would work.

The kid says a clothes iron didn't work for him, Jerry. Actually it was words that came up on the screen and he said "close iron", but I caught it.
I'm not sure if my heat gun is as hot as an iron. Makes me wish I had one of those temperature checking guns.

I gave it a quick try with the iron set to "Cotton" and first it did not work at all. Then I changed the printer setting to "Transparency" which I believe deposits more toner, held the iron longer to heat the wood to the toner melting temperature and worked more with the iron's edge. Result see below.

So it kind of works but not great and the branding foot on the soldering iron is probably more effective. Maybe I try that sometimes. But then, if you use the same logo over and over, why not make a proper branding iron. Could be machined from brass on the CNC. Now, if I could mount a laser on my CNC.....

Burkhardt, the wood needs to be more flat
