I have no first hand knowledge of the clamps but I do endorse Lee Valley. They have no store fronts in the US, just Canada, but their catalogs and mail order (typically shipped from Ogdensburg, NY) are excellent.

Upon first look, i like the low profile aspect but to me the killer is the almost 2" post height to sink it to table surface meaning you would have a second substrate to have to sink this into thereby losing 2" depth under the router. Not sure how this would work for our needs on a bot.
But i am in agreement about Lee Valley, i do like their products and service.

Are we reading the same ad? I thought it said a 3/4" through hole is enough to hold it in place. If so most Shopbot tables are fine.....

Look and read the picture. for clamp a you need 1-7/8" through hole and for b you need 1-3/8"

the way i read it you need a depth of 1 7/8"

That for the a unit. The b unit picture say 1-3/8"
