I've got a cribbage board I've been tweaking(only holes and lines shown) and worked perfectly with small pegs, but we changed pegs to a Maine supplier that has a larger head(Casey's) and people are saying the holes are too close together in the Y-axis. Can't increase X AND Y as blanks already bought.
This .DXF shows board stretched in Y by .75" and holes now oval and Doing a spiral ramped/offset/profile cut with a 7/64" EM not drilling toolpath.
Is there an easy way to change all the holes at once to .125"? Is there a way to increase the spacing without "ovalizing" holes? Tried "circle resize" gadget, but of course they're not circles any more so it doesn't recognize them(wish there was an "oval resize "gadget).
This just for future reference as I'm going to redo them one by one this time. Would redesign whole thing, but still really slow on designing this stuff on VCPro(which is all I have). Probably missing something simple. Thanks

I don't see anything attached to look at but i'm assuming that the problem is that they are having problem gripping the pegs because they are too close while lined up in a straight line.
Why can't instead of lining the holes in a straight line you offset every other hole to one side or the other which would give you the effect of creating 2 spaces between each peg

Not enough coffee and can't get the .dxf to load even zipped. Didn't notice it didn't load Jack, there's like no spare room on on the dimensioned blanks.

Had to delete upper arc to load.

Are you drilling the holes or pocketing them. If you drill they will only be the size of your drill bit even if your holes show up as 1 inch and you use a .125 drill they will be in the center

Scott,
Don't get overwhelmed by the number of circles to change. Find the pattern...break it down into vertical sections of 5 circles. Then draw NEW circles at the center of your old oblate circles ON A NEW LAYER. Then copy & paste using the rectangular array tool across the X and up the Y. CTRL+Z is your friend when finding spacing & offsets.
It would take me about 5 minutes to do it...but that wouldn't really help you.

Draw/snap circles at the centers of the 15 ovals at the lower left, group those 15, ctrl-drag to copy and snap at the center of the next group of 15. Do that once more in X, then group those and ctrl-drag up to the next set of three. Group again, ctrl-drag snap. Wash, rinse, repeat. No need to trial/error for offsets. Or, you could measure the offsets for X and Y between groups of 15 and use that for the Linear Array copy form.

Profiling inside line with offset Jerry(Gives me easy option for different pegs and can only go .25" depth because of the backside design). Thanks Brady(Now that I'm done:)). Just wanted to know for future reference as this is the second time I've done it. Yeah, just started using control Z when Kirk was here for training and he said "Why are you doing it the HARD way"

Thanks Scott, My brain was thinking either/or not breaking into units. Now if you guys can straighten Maine's coastline so I can "copy along vectors" Yeah,Yeah, Yeah...offset:)

I agree about Casey's- We get our 1.75" blocks from them as well as other small items-reasonable,good quality and timely. Was surprised to find a Desktopper in Oz uses their pegs. (Should have paid more attention when he mentioned he had to change his hole spacing):)
