Setting up second Desktop in a dry, coal stove heated shop(No idea humidity) ran across static(I think). We didn't have hose grounded as it's never been an issue on my desktop. 7" of fresh snow on A sunday morning in Northern Maine and no stores open. We ran stripped speaker wire inside hose and then to steel canister dust deputy(dust deputy has anti static hose going into Fein, BUT they only recommend wire from canister bolt to a washer on the floor? Floor is some kind of old linoleum-Low on wire. Is there a quick fix until we can do a full grounding inside and outside hose? Only here 12 more hours and then 7 hour drive home in the snow tomorrow. Cut with no DC today? REPEAT Just short on copper wire TODAY. Thanks:(

Managed to scrounge enough copper for permanent set-up and went to house ground. No issues after that. Hadn't dealt with static before and DON'T want to again. Never saw a Desktop hiccup before :)
