I though I saw a message here a little while ago with someone talking about an STL slicer. Just found this posted on LumberJocks.com

I see what it can do and I know it is THE application for 3-d printing. But for a CNC router, what can it do more than e.g. Vectric 3d-cut or Desk-Proto CAM software in terms of chopping the model into manageable sheets. Maybe I missed the point here. Or is is easier to use?

While i believe some of the other programs like artcam, ect can do slicing as a part of their overall program, if you don't have that and need that function i think this would fit that need.

Some new guy was complaining about a buddy or some other model he had bought and it didn't give him the clearance he needed and this would have helped him do what he needed.:eek:
