driver programing

I have a driver for the alpha 7.2 motors. I called shopbot and they no longer will accept them to be programmed. I haven't hooked it up or tried it yet. How can I program it? Should I hook it up and try it or do I risk ruining something.

Perhaps they will send you the programming parameters that are changed for ShopBot? Oriental has software available to program yourself. Just a thought...
