For those going to the Shop Bot Jamborees (John Forney in Ohio, and Maker Faire in San Matteo CA)
V-Clamps will be there for you to have a good look at them. John has a couple that he has been using for a while that you might be able to try out.
Make sure you have a look at the face plugs which were designed to work with the clamps.
