2014 Arizona Camp ShopBot: April 26

This year's Arizona Camp ShopBot will be Saturday, April 26 at TechShop Chandler (http://techshop.ws/ts_chandler.html), about 20 minutes outside of Phoenix. This is one of TechShop's new locations and is in association with Arizona State University. So all students get to have a membership. How cool is that! Our hosts will give tours throughout the day of the facilities.

You can participate in the Camp by sharing one of your projects during the Show and Tell session. Or if you create huge sculptures or commissions for clients, bring photos to share. The Show and Tell session is a great way to learn from each other.:D

Please register for this camp using our Google Form. This ensures that we have enough chairs and food for everyone and also lets you tell us which topics most interest you, from boatbuilding to machine maintenance to cutting plastics. Randy will have the new Handibot with him, too, to demo.

Morning sign-in is from 8am-9am with coffee/doughnuts followed by a morning program 9am-noon, a break for lunch, and then afternoon program 1-4pm.

We have over 60 people signed up for the Arizona Camp and there is still 1 more week to go. Mostly new Campers! So we hope that you will bring projects for the Show and Tell or photographs to share.

I'm bummed out to learn that the second reason I would have gone to this event, is no longer an option.

The Heart Attack Grill is no longer located in Chandler!
I just looked on Google to see if it was still there and found out they moved to Las Vegas NV.

Parking and details: TechShop has a large parking lot. There will be someone to greet you at the main entrance. We ask that you sign their liability waiver: They require this for anyone coming into their facilities, even if only getting a tour.
