Her-Saf is out of business

I am disappointed because I use their V cutters with the inserts
and they are no longer available..

If I wanted to find a replacement V-90 1.25 Dia cutter, Are there any
recommendations out there... I will also look for a V-135 also

They answered with a "hello" and not the company name.

The web site does not let you place anything in your cart so I called them
and they said they did not have the V-30 product.

They have Amana replaceable insert cutters.

Regret hearing that. I used a lot of their bits and wonder if the generic 12mm bits will be available after I go through my stock.

Glad I have about 5 V30 inserts left. I need some for the 60 degree v bit too. Guess Monday will be calling distributors to see if they have any. Most of the inserts came from the California office though.

Maybe we should contact Centurion and see if they could make the replacement inserts.

They were not really interested because the inserts are such a small item.

Because I only have the V90 cutter (and 2 inserts left), I will use that for the next couple of years and then replace with a similar system. Amana has a system with inserts but UNLIKE Her-Saf, a single insert fits an entire line of V cutters where Amana has an insert blade for each cutter and the inserts were 50% more than Her-Saf.

Good news about the inserts from Her-Saf. They are sending their machine to Edge of Arlington in Arlington, TX. Phone # for Edge of Arlington is 1-817-461-7171. Called to verify. Talked with John. The sale just happened yesterday so it may be couple of months before they learn the new equipment but are planning to make the inserts. They are also looking for suppliers for the bodies of the cutters. They are expecting some inventory but don't know what may be included.

Just a satisfied user of the Her-Saf tooling, needing inserts.
