I am very green to the cnc router world so please bare with me. the shopbot was working perfectly and then the laptop crashed. we had it repaired. from that point on everything we cut is much smaller than programmed to do. As an example, I programmed it to cut a 20" x 20" square out of a 1/2" thick piece of plywood. It ended up being about 15" x 15" square. This is the case with everything we cut on it. Old and new processes do the same thing. any idea what I need to do?

First, re-set up and make sure your machine is specified… It could be as simple as the Unit Values are wrong. It may think a different number of pulses or steps equals an inch…

I am fighting this now. My computer died and I set up a different one and the values won't hold my settings. It keeps restetting to some crasy value I go in there and reset them and run a file to check it and it cuts great then when I get out of SB3 and go in it has reverted back to those crasy settings. I am running it now off my netbook but would like to get it to run on a dedicated desktop. I'm thinking of picking up a cheap desktop tomorrow. My old desktop was about 10 years old.
