How does eCabinet Systems ShopBot link cut blind dadoes? Does it use a dogbone type fillet on the ends?
SBLink does a straight mortise - no dog bones. It undersizes the tenon a little so it fits in the mortise.
So far, I've never had a joint fail. Knock on wood......

Thanks Don,
Just thinking about purchasing, and was wondering! Actually thinking about using the nesting diagrams to toolpath in Aspire at a small scale, just to see how it all comes together...
If you have measured the thickness of your material accurately then everything fits really nice. Tight and strong glue joints. Just remember, SBLink always reference from the table surface, not material surface.
I am trying a new joint in eCabs. It is a combination of M/T and pocket screws. Instead of making one long mortise and tenon joint, it breaks the mortise and tenon joint into multiple parts and you can use pocket screws where there is no mortise or tenon. I will have to do the pocket holes myself (because I don't have a Thermwood CNC), but being able to use pockets for screws instead of drilling holes through the side of the cabinet might work better. Trying it on the current cabinet job.

That sounds pretty cool, Don,
I was wondering about the new joints eCabinets now has, (like the new pocket hole) and how many, if any, can be cut with the link.
BTW, I talked to Thermwood, and they claimed they are still actively developing the link, but not a top priority.
