Donek Tools showed off the Drag Knife During the First Denver Mini Maker Faire This last weekend. Our goal was to engage young kids with a fun project they could get involved in while showing the capabilities of the Donek Drag Knife. We used a D4 drag knife to cut RL Adams Readi-Board from Dollar Tree in making toy gliders.

Nice Sean, Didn't you do similar at another show last Year? Nice vid with the kids smiling and their expressions. Can it cut 1/4" cork tiles? Thinking fly box inserts after routing cork.

Yes. This is the same project we ran at the Northern Colorado Mini Maker Faire a few months back.
And yes, you should be able to cut 1/4in cork.

Thanks Sean, going to try an 1/8" O-flute and a righthand 2F first.
Awesome, I'm sure the kids loved it!
I just scanned the parts to a very similar looking plane my 3 year old got for Easter. I just need to trace them in VCP and cut them out. Luckily I scanned the parts right away because he has successfully destroyed the original already.
