At the McGrews event, I purchased some bits and also grabbed a catalog from SOutheast Tool - who seems to have an ER25 collet in the catalog that will accept of course, a 3/4" shanked bit.
This is wonderful news for me, as previously I was limited to the 5/8" bit size. Several larger, profiling bits that I can see myself liking to use (think raising faux panels) only come in 3/4" shanks minimum. Part of the reason I bought my router with a 4HP HSD spindle was to power these types of bits, and now I can. Well, as soon as I order a new collet.
The tool shops I deal with here in Canada do not carry this size, I am assuming it is something relatively new?
