thanks. when I first got my mac I put windows on it. but never liked how the beys worked with aspire on it. Plus who wants to work at home? this is another one of those emergency production jobs. I am like a beacon for them.

Steve, because it contains only bitmap data, it can't be opened in Aspire/VCP. I've converted it to a jpg and you can then import it into Aspire/VCP and try tracing it with the trace bitmap tool or by hand. You can download the file from my Skydrive here...http://1drv.ms/1pwDafp

If you can't download it, let me know. Let me know when you have it and I'll remove it.

The .ai file also contains only bitmap data. If you don't want to trace it, you'll need them to remove all fills and apply hairline outlines to the .ai file and then save it as vector data, not raster (bitmap).

Otherwise, the jpg I made looks like it would trace good if you do it in color and drop it down to 4 colors. Check only the turquoise, trace that first, close the trace tool, and this time trace only the black and you should pretty much have it. A little editing and offsetting after that should get you the rest.

Hope your getting paid well for the rush jobs, not covering some incompetent managers butt.

I used to do that until I realized the rush jobs were from poor planning on the other end. Now if they screw up its a extra charge for the rush.
