Here's a picture that I took shortly after finishing my first "full size" drawing on the 'bot using WidgetWorks plotter gadget:

It's not as easy to use as a printer, but VCarve Pro does a great job of converting the AutoCAD drawings into toolpaths.

Here's a page with pictures that show the spiffy new cap I found for the plotter pens:

Interestingly enough, the "alternate" cap that I got just in case (1/4" size) just happens to be a perfect fit to the vinyl cutter in order to protect that blade tip:

Gah, sorry about that. It was obviously a PICNIC error. (Problem In Chair, Not In Computer)

I just posted info about the “new rubber caps” on the original thread – what a great improvement idea! We'll be including a rubber cap with the Plotter Pen kits from now on.

Russ, don't forget to include one with the vinyl cutter bit too.

Dana, that is the build prototype for a flight simulator cockpit. I'm developing a line of simple to build cockpit shells that people can actually afford. I'm not offering the whole thing, just the instructions, plans and templates to build one.

Progress has been slow lately because I've been working on hardware interface software for my F-15.

Already done Gene - Thanks again.

Gene's got great pictures of his F-15 project on his website (check out his profile for the link.) If you haven't already read about what he's doing you've got to check it out - very cool!
