I made a cedar V-Carved sign for a lady my wife works with. It's attached and I was able to use the files from the Vector Art Mega Collections. I have volumes 1 and 2. (They came with the bot)
Now I have a good problem. She showed it to a friend and she would like a sign as well, only with a campfire and beer. Looking through my collection I didn't see anything that fit the bill. I was wondering where else I could look for images that work well when V-Carved, or if any one knows of one in the books that I may have overlooked.
Any ideas or links would be greatly appreciated. :)
Thanks.

Hey Miles. I usually just go to Google images and pick a picture (usually a black and white one) and run it through a program called Vector Magic. It takes a little getting use to but does the job. There might be a little snipping and connecting sometimes but it's a lot easier then starting from scratch. There's a lot of ways to skin a cat and this is just the one that works for me. Good luck.

Thanks Kurt, I haven't tried Vector Magic. It looks pretty cool. I was kinda hoping that someone else out there had created a ready made source of V-Carve images. I would think that there should be a market for it, or maybe Vector Art has it cornered. I'll probably do some googling ( is that even a word?) and see what I can find for images if I dont' come accross a source of ready to go clipart.

Many of these are better suited to plasma, but there are some good ones in the collection.

Thanks for the feedback Ken. I looked around the site and you're right, you do have to look through them to find the ones that will work.
Sorry for not replying sooner, got sidetracked with other work and I'm just now getting back to this project.

Miles,
Have you checked VectorArt? (http://www.vectorart.com/store/index.cfm?q=beer&a=). It's where your originals came from, and they tend to carve very well...

Wow Ron, thanks for the tip. :o For some reason I only thought they sold collections. I guess I haven't been to the site in recent years to know better.
Thanks much!
