Hello all, normally I would not announce a new single model (as we add many each month) however we have had a lot of demand for this particular one. So I would like to let you know that there is a model of the Last Supper on our website now: http://www.vectorart3d.com/store/index.cfm?q=supper
The model has been created using a combination of clay sculpting which was scanned and ArtCAM Pro to put it all together. We have been working on it on and off for 3 months! There is the full scene for $75, just the figures and table for $50 and the single figure of Jesus for $25.
We have file formats for our own free software Vector Art 3D Machinist or for PartWorks3D (V3M) or STL models for PartWizard. We tried to ensure a high level of detail even at low depth - I have attached a low resolution image below that shows the part at 24 x 12 x 0.45 inches. So even if you made one 48 inches in size you would still only need around 1 inch of material to achieve the same quality.
I have posted some higher resolution images on the Vectric Forum, along with some background CRV files that could be used in PartWorks to etch the background to then mount the model with just the table and the figures on it. More info on that is available here: http://vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3012
Hope this is of some use to anyone who has requested it from us.
Thanks,
James
