I have been doing a trophy room for a retired pro golfer just designed this table for her, its a go, the job is just about done I have not taken many pictures of the progress but it was a lot of display cases and cabinets this table and an entertainment center will wrap it up.
Just a cad image and a routed piece of plywood for now to see the ball pattern, it really jumps out at you in person.

The tabletop has kind of an optical illusion about it...cool.

The picture does not come close to the 3d effect, in person the cutout from 5 feet away looks like its bulging up, its pretty cool thinking about making some barstools next.

Combination of that table, with several glasses of liquid showing true plumb would make you blink a couple of times:) As an ex-Alky not sure I would sit on a barstool that I couldn't even focus on:)
Nice job Brian!

Very cool, however it would give my wife an instant migrane.

Pretty cool Brian. I dig optical illusions and have thought of doing some op-art plaques for the heck of it.
The outside row of partial dimples irregularly spaced makes it look out of round though.

Yea Dave I was thinking that too I will eliminate some of the outers, working on it and another project, I got a bit of a handicap a month and a half ago sliced the 3 tendons that close my index finger on glass. so been working one handed with a fabricated arm brace on my left arm to maneuver stuff. Will not have use for another month.
So my speed is not up where it should be. at least I am right handed

I suppose you could put a brand name or a golf logo on it... or maybe a big nine iron gash mark...

Jeff I drew half the ball over a photo then mirrored it. Never had much luck with bit tracing, seem to spend more time cleaning up than just starting from scratch.
The table is finished, I was on a deadline rush so of course I forgot to take pictures, I will be back for a few minor things so I will get some then she absolutely loved it she been a repeat customer and it looks like that will continue.

She sent me some pictures to use, the lighting in that room is a little hard to work with but here are a few pictures of the project.
