Hello everyone,

We are going to wrap up August with our final web training of August this Wednesday August 27th at 1:00pm EDT.

This training will be project based and will demonstrate some of the advanced options users can select while doing 2D Profile Tool paths in V Carve Pro and Aspire. These advanced options will help with cut quality and efficiency.

If you are unable to attend this training it will be recorded and posted for future viewings.

Sounds great TJ, Maybe briefly touch micro-tabs and lead ins/outs from off the work surface into an open sided pocket with a slot/keyhole cutter? Looking forward to it:)

Excellent TJ! Loved the clever way you demonstrated tabs using simulated animation - clever! You didnt mention the size of your balls??

So is there a favorite size tab for general use ? 3-d tab better or not ?

4 to 5 typically enough on.... say an 8 inch structure ?

Morning Curtis, Just my 2 cent for hardwoods, but having good luck with .5 X .123" 3D for most stuff. Really depends on how much tension you're releasing in the wood and how you're clamping/bit used for cutout(force)/etc. 3D's just cut faster and easier to cut through with Veritas flexible flush-cut trim saw I use. 6X12X.9" B. Walnut I just cutout yesterday with a .125"Kyocera 4FluteEM (for carvewright 2,.5,10K 1/2 Diameter pass/spiralramp)with 6 of those size tabs was my idea of a perfect blend size/ease/quality.
But hey, I'm wierd :) Barely had to touch it with 320G stationary belt sander and mill marks were gone, and ready for roundover/hand sand and finish:)
