Just curious. Getting Z-upgrade kit (supposedly today :) ), but just had a PM asking about the additional X,Y,Z we had the factory install on our 2 Desktops.
Do the new Desktops with 5.5"Z come from the factory with an upper Z proximity switch installed standard? X,24 and Y,18 prox's?
Thanks in advance,
scott

Scott no prox sw. at the high end of X or Y , just file limit checking

What is file limit checking?

Kyle
when you are running a file , if the movement is going to be outside table limits ( set when you do c3 ) SB3 stops movement and a window comes up for you to OK or cancel that's my understanding There is a setting in SB3 for this

Bob, If you rezero to anyplace else on the middle of the table, and then say-I press my #5 preset "Radio button" which is 24,18 would I hit my hard stop if I didn't have the extra Prox's? Just shut down for the night and thunder or I'd check myself. Oh, Z-upgrade kit came in at 5PM:)

Scott Yes if file limit is turned on in SB3 Settings , File limit checking ON and you did a C3 and the software is set for the machine you have
That is my understanding how it works
