He is posting on his facebook page, Cabo is a Mess, he has to drive around to find cell service spots and says watter and food are scarce, I have asked him what he needs but he has yet to ask for help. some of the pics show him with loads of plywood and 2x so he and his crew probably are working their A$$e$ off. We went thru this in Hugo in St Thomas in 89, Life is pretty strained for months.

not sure how we can help, I am sure with his skills he will have work beyond his wildest expectations for some time to come. flights are pretty much still removing tourist,, (Amazing how many do not haul A$$ when a hurricane is coming)

If there is that much damage and work maybe some of us should pack up our shopbots and go down and setup in his shop to help!

“pack up our ShopBots and go down and setup in his shop to help”

No power… You’d need some of us old goats who remember how to work with hand tools. Problem is, we take too many naps during the day to be of much value!

When there is a Hurricane on the east coast there is wall to wall coverage but nothing.Even CNN like nothing happened

I remember the ice storm in Montreal I was there in 97 hydro crew came from all over North America to help [Newfoundland sent crews the crew won a loto ]
In Newfoundland a couple of years ago a hurricane passed over huge black outs hydro crew came from Maine, Nova Scotia [Quebec didn't show up]

Are California hydro crews going ? Not to get political

You guys forget who you are talking about. Gene ran his Bot "off the grid" for years. All of us in hurricane territory learn to keep going without grid power when the big blow comes. Just one of those things. Glad to hear about the facebook posts-Means he's fine but undoubtedly busy.
I was in Jamestown area not too long after Hugo-that was a nasty one.

Glad you're ok Gene.
Last one to cause long power outage here was down at shop near three weeks and at home for 10 days. Kept the Genset in the truck and drove it back and forth. Ran all the house except the AC but at the shop could only handle the lights and table saw at once. Biggest issue was finding gas for it. Most stations had no genset and those that did had long lines.

Got old fast.

Gene Glad you are up and running again. Hopefully You did not suffer very Much damage. Hopefully you will get lots of work, wish that the lots of work could have come from a different venue, but work is work.. Jack has to make jokes Like Brady said Jack would not be Jack... Was thinking about you last week. I know you do a lot of Catholic Church work. I am getting ready to design the 15 stations for a local church to be carved by the cnc.
Take care show us some picture of before the repair and pictures after your crew has done the repairs

Glad you're back up, Gene. Hopefully the price of plywood/materials doesn't mess you up too much.
