Hi, we just got our impressive PRSalpha 96-48 and we are trying as many things as we can!

We want to drill a full DMF 5mm sheet with hundreds of tiny holes and we were wondering which is the smallest drill bit that we could use.

Any experience with 0.75mm or 1mm drill bits in such a big machine as the alpha and the 4HP spindle?

Thanks and suggestion will be much appreciated!

We have an air drill, so we use that to drill.
As for small bits we just used a 1/16" (.0625") to cut some very small slots and it worked great.

You need a 3mm ER25 collet. You can get them from SB.

Then get your micro drills with 3mm shank from some place like this: http://atomprecision.com/drill.html
