Yikes! Looks like a finger pincher... Then again, maybe the moms will keep their kids away! The rotisserie motor is a neat idea though...

Nice find Jack I've got a variable speed rotisserie motor laying around can think of a couple unique things to use it for at party's as a attention getter. Jeff :D

Thanks Jack! Agree about the finger pinching, but very nice to know the battery ones run 8 hours--Make a good button display:)

Yikes! Looks like a finger pincher. It looks more like a "teaching tool" to me....
How many times did you stick your finger in a flame before you were "taught" by experience not to do that?:D

I doubt that it would have enough power to do anything more then get your attention if you stuck a finger in it.

Let's be honest...how many of you, while as a kid, was in the shop with your dad and you hit your finger with a hammer and he said....."Well that'll teach you not to do that again, right?" (how many of you have a smile on your face right now remembering that?)

I could definitely see how some of you indexer users could use it to make some of your "artwork" (like this) spin.

Jack...
My rotisserie motor has an incredible amount of torque... And getting my fingers caught in the cloths wringer never taught me a lesson... Except maybe that mom let me have “light” duty jobs the rest of the day!

Well that explains why you're such a "Hardhead" lol:D

At least that was what i was called when i did the same stupid thing over and over as a kid! My Mom would ask me....."Why are you so hardheaded?"

Sadly, in this day and age, you'd probably have an irate parent scream that you nearly amputated little Billy's arm and he'll never pitch again, and you've ruined his shot at the baseball hall of fame, then the local news will do a "Breaking News Exclusive" on the hidden dangers of craft shows and how deadly they are to children (and somehow come up with a statistic showing more kids are killed and maimed at craft shows then all other categories combined), and how crafters build their goods on the back of child labor, and then some ambulance chaser will sue you, the craft show facility, the maker of the rotisserie, the lumber yard, and the owner of the forest land the tree was originally cut down from.

Daniel, Daniel.....wake up you're having a nightmare! That kind of thing would never hap...oh wait...:rolleyes:

You could probably use a motor with less power like one of these...

The rotisserie would be a good ideal for a display... just fix the rotating part from tilting over and leave off the gears. Just simple add a top with a hole that will not allow the base to tip over.

I make our own displays and I just use a lazy Susan Bearing.... works great.

A guy could make some real swanky pinch guards for that thing. Easy to make standoffs, too. I think it'd make it look better, cause all I think when I look at it is "ouch".

Thank you Jack - a brilliant concept. Started building one today for use in our Novemer Arts Festival. Will be under perspex so no safety issues. Thanks again. I know you have the gear maker program but its great having it already built into Aspire as a "gadget".
