Shopbot.ini problem

Had a OS failure yesterday on the controller computer. Repaired the problem and OS seems to be working fine. However when I went to re-installer the Shopbot 3 control software I'm finding it is not creating a Shopbot.ini file for the settings. Every time I start Shopbot 3 it asks me to pick my machine from the default settings. When I go looking for the Shopbot.ini file it does not exist on the computer.
Not sure why the Shopbot.in file does not get created.

I had a similar issue a month ago with Vista, you need to make sure you are the administrator of the computer and remove the UAC (User Access Control) from your user profile. Should work fine after that.

I tried pretty well every thing that I could possibly do, to get the OS to allow for the creation of the Shopbot.ini file, but nothing seemed to work. Finally decided it would be faster to reinstall the OS than spend any more time figuring out why the issue with this particular file. By the way the problem only seemed to be with the Shopbot.ini file, as I noticed other .ini files could be created or modified.
