http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letterheads

Seven sign painters back in 1975 joined together in a search to little know and lost techniques in sign building. Within five years it became a movement that stretched world wide. The idea was to openly share the knowledge and help everyone in the trade, free of charge.

I've attended three international meets to see the fever and willingness to help one another. If you get the chance to attend one of their meets, don't miss it. It will be a memory you'll never forget.

I'd love to attend one - What a concentration of talent! I don't see any new ones scheduled, except for the one right now.

Ron,

Thanks for posting.

That's right there's one ending up today. I'll post any new ones I see just in case there's someone in the vicinity and wants to go. They are few between and are small. I'd say ten or twelve people attending. These fellows are a hoot to be around. I think you'd fit in well.

They often pop up on short notice. When a couple of them start talking about techniques, the next thing they set up a meet by posting on Creative Signs Makers of America website. This is forum is for pro's who are all died in the wool Letterheads.

I had worked with Bill P. trying to get the SB Camp gatherings going in the Letterhead type of format but there were so few people really in business and didn't have enough to offer so it wouldn't work. You would need some talent to make one of these work.

I've been to numerous meets - some Letterheads, some Walldogs/Letterheads. Vinton, Bloomington, Belvidere, Mazeppa, Hervey Bay Australia. Probably forgetting one or two more...

Is this you Joe in Belvidere IL ?

Mayo,

No but thanks. That fellow is too good looking to be me.

Glad to see there are a few of us left. I spoke to Joe Diaz last week about the next Walldog. I'm probably getting a little long in the tooth for those all day events. Sometimes they are during excessive heat. I'll leave these events for you young kids.

At the same time, I'm not much on panel jams and pin striping events but I'll show up anyway with some demo's on dimensional work. I'm afraid the old type events are on their way out.
