We're still going to hold our 2010 Florida Camp on Feb. 20th , but we're moving it to a new location. Mike Wright has offered his shop in Lake Worth, FL for the event. Mike says that the West Palm airport is the closest to his shop, but if you can get a "deal" to fly into Ft.Lauderdale, etc. it's easily within driving distance. Here is Mike's business address, etc. for those of you driving with GPS:

Custom Interior Products
807 Barnett Dr.
Lake Worth, FL 33461
561-586-2939

As in the past you can contact me directly for more info so we don't cut too heavily into any of our host's workdays. I am at- campshopbot "at" gmail.com

Ya'll welcome to say hi at my shop in Ft. Lauderdale too! Who knows, I may even have the physical upgrade on my PRT by then!

Palm Beach International airport is about 15 min. north of my shop and Ft. Lauderdale International is about 45 min. south.

Lots of small motels around here and major hotels as well.

From PBIA take I-95 south to 10th Ave. North (exit 64).
Exit, turn right (west) to first Traffic light, Barnett Dr.
Left on Barnett Dr. (south) 5 driveways on right.
Turn in.

807 Barnett Dr.
Lake Worth, fl 33461

From Lauderdale: take I-95 north to 10th Ave. North (exit 64).
Same direction from this point.

See you all there.

Florida Camp update-
In spite of the record breaking cold, with torpid iguanas dropping out of the palm trees, there will be a few added "resources" at the Florida Camp. Ted Hall, and Bill Young from Shopbot will be on hand to discuss some of the latest developments in Durham, NC.
And Gary Campbell will come up from the Keys to do a short session regarding the use of ECabs. (Note; this will NOT be the "full" ECabs training, Gary will discuss what the program is about, etc.).
Please drop either Mike, or myself a note to let us know if you plan to attend this Camp. We're following up a busy month in Florida with the Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, and Daytona week(s) just before us. And it's also Washington's birthday which means some schools are off for a long weekend/week. So you might want to start looking at plane/hotel reservations, NOW.....

Note regarding the above post- NO,the falling iguanas are NOT "torpedoes".....They are just cold, large, lizards....

What Bill meant to say was they are very easy to catch when its in the 40's. And they taste like chicken.

Bill: I'll try my best to get up and say "hi" to everyone particularly since Mike's shop is only a few miles from my house in Delray but we are moving shops this month and most of my time outside of normal day to day is invloved in the move.
FYI: Great place for casual dinner and beers in the area is Lantana Ale House. Last time I was there they had a 2fer on Lobsters cheap.

Thanks to all who have already sent us their RSVP for this Camp. For the rest of you fence dwellers it's getting close to Camp time so now would be a good time to get in touch with either of us.
I am REALLY looking forward to the thought of having a few days without a snow shovel in my hands...!

And if you bring more cold weather to FL like the last 3 times I saw you, you will not live to see a snow shovel!

Not to worry Gary, at least for the day of the camp, my shop is heated.

Lost power in last night's blizzard. While waiting to see if the heat would come back on I started to look at all of the things made out of wood in my house and began to "prioritize" their order of flaming demise ( and I don't even have a wood stove...).
Just another reason to buy furniture made out of REAL wood guys.....
Fortunately for the furnishings we got power back 6 hours later...

Sean...
I figure I have to get in my last cold weather shots before the move. I surely wont leave the FL Keys for the UP to complain about the weather.

8-9 AM is the "coffee/donut/eat/meet/greet" session, and then we get started for real about 9.
