Just in case anybody missed the free files Vectric is giving away every 3 days for Christmas.
Don't know if they are limited time only like last year.
Thanks Vectric! :)

Scott,

I didn't realize it was every 3 days! I kept checking it every morning so I wouldn't miss anything and it didn't seem to change for a couple of days...

Sorry Dick, "12 projects of Christmas".
Click "Click here to read the full blog post" and at the end of it they have the .zip file to download. Should have #3 coming out on December 6'th-every 3 days I think they said.

Scott - thanks for giving everyone the heads-up on here. Just for clarification we're going to be posting one every other day, so basically on odd-numbered dates until the 23rd (12 projects).

The majority of these will run in VCarve Pro 7.5 (or the SB equivalent) and a few will require Aspire 4.5.

The first three are already posted here: http://vectriclabs.blogspot.co.uk/. The idea is to have a bit of fun for the Holiday season and hopefully to provide you with some gifts and decorations you can make as is or customize to show off what your ShopBot can do.

Today's project is from Michael Tyler our resident Project expert. Its the "steampunk" yo-yo you can see in the image below. This does require Aspire but the first two projects posted were for VCarve Pro.

Cheers,
James

Well, since this is started, does anyone have the 12 days of Christmas files. I want to give them as tree ornaments this year.

I have been looking at pdf scroll saw patterns but can't really find a dozen files that won't take a lot of work to convert for the bot.

If I have to make 8 sets on the scroll saw I know the Bot will be sitting there enjoying the day and laughing at me....

And as cheap as I am............ I would be willing to pay for them

Thanks,

Les

Les,besides the usual culprits found in a Google search, found this. Not my style, but he says they are his originals, gives fairly broad rights, and he said the files don't include the drop shadows. Maybe?

Thanks Scott.

I found those too. I saw a set years ago in some magazine that were for scroll saw. More like a round ornament with the 12 figures inside a circle.

I will keep looking and if I find them I will post them.

No 12 Days of Christmas, sorry Les. However you may have given me an idea for next year... As for our Projects we posted another one today - some easy to cut and finish ply-wood tree ornaments - http://vectriclabs.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/christmas-tree-decorations-12-projects.html

Free to download files compatible with current versions of VCarve Pro and Aspire.

Cheers,
James
