As I prepare to clean/re-grease racks as part of routine maintenance, looks like I need to purchase more grease. I've been using a lithium grease that is black. I've got a new wide-belt that utilizes a white lithium, and am thinking of switching to that for the 'bot for two reasons:
- Consistency with all machines in shop - only one type to purchase.
- would like to avoid the black rack lines I get on my bright white "T"s from leaning over the edge.

Any input on grease type would be appreciated, particularly regarding the use of the white stuff and resources.

Thanks!

Jeff

White lithium is a good lube and is what I am using

Over the last few years I've been using spray on high tech motorcycle chain grease. Seems to work just fine, leaving a thinner coating than white grease.

I'd be interested if anyone else had any pros or cons on this lubricant.
