I have came across a very large amount of corian cut offs and need some ideas of what to do/make with it all.
Sizes range from 1'x1', 1-2'x12', 3'x4' and everything in the middle.

what to do with it? For starters you can send me half!:D It depends on what color it is. If it is white you can make lithopanes. I have even seen small lithos on a nite lights like this...

Not knowing what i was doing at the time and not sure i still do but i bought some cut offs back then. I took a chance and v carved this one. Painted the carving and then sanded off the excess. That was my only experience and i still have pieces left over.

springerle cookie molds? Top dollar if designs are good.

Or after you v groove fill with tinted epoxy and sand out.
This one should have had a drain trough around the edges and at the bottom.

Adding a bit of smaltz to some of the color could be interesting as well.

Name and/or number plates for houses or rooms. Decorative drink coasters, condiment bowls, spoon rests (and spoons), the possibilities for class type projects is pretty large.

Do you know if there is any issue with corian and food contact?

What do you use to color the epoxy?

Lot's of varieties of epoxy tints/pigments out there. A quick google will yield much. On that one I used pre tinted tubes we had left over from countertop jobs. Not the best way to go though as that stuff shrinks pretty good as it outgasses during curing.

Corian is hypoallergenic and since it is totally non-pourous is the leading type of product for many hospital jobs. You just can't get it too warm.

Kyle, doesn't have to be fancy like springerles. Could just be font/names,state shapes, etc. . Nice thing about cookie boards is they are simple to make as you just roller pin the dough into into the molds. Your 12" would be perfect for say 3 cookies and a hole for hanging on kitchen wall. At shows, personalize. i.e. "Kyle's Kitchen" ? :)https://www.google.com/search?q=antique+cookie+boards&client=firefox-a&hs=jsV&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=nts&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=HZKNVIzoCNGwsATf6IHQCQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAg&biw=1280&bih=665

cutting boards,

D

Only if you hate having a sharp knife... solid surface will take the edge of a knife immediately and should not be cut on.

They make good trivets though. Or a cheese board, serving tray, etc.

Slide pucks! Easy project.

Not exactly a typical botter type project, but if you have a skateboarder in your life they may want a set or two.
I've done some out of UHMWPE in the past, but corian and derlin is common as well.

Thanks for ideas.

We make a lot of cutting boards, have sold about 75 in Nov. and Dec. I like to make them because we can mass produce them and then customize them as they are ordered.
Some say it dulls knifes but what doesn't? And people love them and the customer is always right.

If you have a piece large enough, it would make a great vac jig with a small vac pump for the Desktop unit! Suck down cutting boards and have at it.
