I've been trying to identify this font and I'm having no luck.
Well, not no luck, but close to it.
It's close to Clarendon and Egizio, but not close enough.
I could probably use either and warp/node edit them till they fit, but I'd like to get it right. I'll have plenty of time wrapped up in cleaning the border flourish up.

Any ideas?
I can prove this font back to the early 60's, so it's an older font, as fonts go.

Are you trying to use the font on another project or just trying to get that art in vector form?

Good question!

That letter style isn't a font. Note the three letters at the top don't match each other.

Ross, I'll be using that artwork. I like to go with new fonts and then change to curves. It makes a much cleaner job.

Joe, I noticed the "O" doesn't match at all. It's squashed and widened.
This is the 4th different project I've done from old cuban cigar artwork and each font has presented the same problem.
I can match this font very close (as I have the rest), and I can warp the letters to match, but I'd have to round all those serifs. I'm not feeling that at all.
Your answer was HUGELY helpful. I'd not even considered it wasn't a font, but it makes perfect sense.

I blew this up to 4'x4', created vectors from the artwork and fit curves to all the vectors, turned out pretty decent. It'll cut just fine as a v-carve as it sits.
But if I want to make the artwork 3d, I'm going to have to do a considerable amount of node editing, mainly on the flourishes.
Or not. I'm not building a piano. :D
