Timber was Australian blackwood - very nasty to breathe but great to work with!

Merry Christmas to Melbourne, Australia !

Where do you get the RR spikes ?

and how long does it take to drive the entire "outback road" from east to west ???

If you go across the desert its 10 days and you probably wont be seen again. You pinch the spikes off old railway lines ( so I'm told!) Australia is a huge country with far more open spaces than the USA. No one is allowed to own a beach thank heavens.

Hey Bob, I've flown quite a bit to the west in my army aviation days.....Great Sandy desert, Gisborn desert and Nullabor.....we used to call it the GAFA........(great australian f**k all)😃😃😃. Nothing but spinifex, sand and bloody wombat holes!
