This months Sign Craft magazine has lots of excellent articles but much of it concentrates on Sign Pricing along with the 2015 Pricing guide. That alone is worth the issue price.

There's a special article on the topic of pricing written by a seasoned sign artist, Larry Elliott. He has a typical, high quality shop located in McLemotsville, Tenn. under the name "Elliott Sign & Design. It's an excellent article and as in depth as it should be. This is one of the most difficult topics as there is to cover and he's done an excellent job of it.

Also along with this is featured a couple of gals, Laura and Sarah, who build excellent signs using their Shopbot. The shop name is Appalacian Signs, www.appalaciansigns.com (http://www.appalaciansigns.com) I called, to introduced myself, with the intention of paying them complements but that quickly got us into discussing just about everything we do. It was fun as it always is when artists get together. We quickly became good friends. I'll be showing some of their fine work in a day or so. Wish everyone has this issue of Sign Craft. Perhaps I can get them to join us in a post or two.

It was a thorough article and well written. It is critical and instructive to go back and match your job with your original estimate to review where you need to improve your bid accuracy. My hardest part to bid is installation, always one more trip to the store, which around here can easily be over an hour.
