Looking great!
One suggestion: I see lots of people use a font that is a script style and not kern it properly. What is kerning? Take a look at this :

By bringing the letters together properly, it looks much more natural and professional. You're doing a great job!
Depending on what software you use, there are different ways to do the kerning/moving of the letters.

Thanks also Doug!
Made me go "DUH!"
Is it fastest to de-select the islands and then weld?

If you haven't already found it, in Aspire, kerning adjustment is 2 buttons to the right of the Text button.
Just click between letters to bring them together and shift+click to push them apart. Pressing Ctrl while clicking and shift+clicking moves them faster.

Kyle, Looks good. Did you pocket the Red "K" just a little? Nice crisp edges.

Black and red are pocketed in, the black is flush with the white background and the red pops out .25".
