Quite some time ago Brady suggested this book to me as a must-have.
I pour over it on a regular basis, just to put the pictures in my head.
By doing that, over time my 3d models have gotten better and better and better. With a little math and layout, the elements come together beautifully, and in a way that I've not seen them before.
There's a lot of pride in doing a Victorian something that's actually original. :)

Anyways, I recently found that the book is free and public domain.
I had bought mine for Kindle on my ipad and have recently wanted to buy a hardback copy I could scan for reference in the shop.
I downloaded two pdf's, one is color and one is black and white.

I'm still going to order the hardback copy, but the pdf's will allow me to print the pages I want without hogging up my book.

I agree with Brady that everyone should have the book. It's fantastic.
So that you guys don't have to hunt them, I've put both copies in my dropbox. Here's the link. (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8urgiz940f0krql/AADinerjDM2-6HT1vWNLclQEa?dl=0)

If you want to look for other scans, there are a number of them. Just Google "Handbook of Ornament filetype:pdf" without the quotes.
(The smiley is a colon and a p, I can't fix it, sorry.)
Once you become familiar with it, I'd urge you to buy a hardback copy.
The softcover is cheaper, but it's much smaller than the hardback.

Please let me know what you think of the book!!!

Yup...It's a gooden one. Plenty of designs to stir the mind and your creativity. It's also a great reference on aesthetic.

It's a huge confidence builder, too.
When I put together elements in my head and then see them together somewhere in the book, it lets me know I'm starting to get it.
This is a style that I've wanted to make my own since before I got the Bot. It's awesome to see it coming together, slow but sure.

Thanks You Two:)
If you both like it, I'm sure it will stir the grey matter:)

You can put the .pdf on your ipad, Scott. Then you can just read all night.
You don't need all that sleep anyways!!! ;)

Haven't slept in 39 hours:)

Good, I didn't want you getting lazy.
Ipad's don't absorb the goo, it just piles up on them. My 13 year old daughter is one of those kids who has perpetually disgusting hands, so mine has been tested thoroughly.
Every time she gives it back to me I go and hose it down. I have an Otterbox on it, so it cleans up easy. :D

"Otterbox"? I'll have to look that up Manana :)
Too busy loading my VCR.
Just found out that sometime in the last three days I "selected" a profile (Must have double-clicked it), resized it by .002" and then Moved it .005"/ nested 30 of them and saved it as a template X5. :(
May need to redraw 3 days of work.....! Waaaaaahh! :)
Wasn't until 30 buttons at a whack instead of 29 on a sheet finally struck me as "ODD" that I actually "Ungrouped" the template and double checked the measurement.
I'd be GLAD at this point to do "One Of's" again:)
Time to hibernate.
