I always like the tattoo sites as they tend to VCarve out of the box:)

Would like to get that female torso at craftsman, don't think I can work with either file format [3dm/stp] with aspire.

Doug you can dowload make human http://www.makehuman.org/ its a free human modeler it exports obj format .

I then bring them into wings 3d another free program to convert to stl

@Doug i found a model at the above site but download as a bmp format and obviously i dont speak their language. What am i doing wrong?

Bmp is a raster file. A picture. It does not have 3d information.

Thanks for the link...It was valuable to me in an unconventional way. Aside from when I was first getting started or SB official projects, as a general rule I don't download 3D files. I like unique & 'mine' so I tend not to mess with any free for alls. I'll either sculpt and scan or draw my own.

Just like any other skill, you gotta use it or lose it. This is especially true with drawing. As I looked over some of the mathematically derived 3D models on that site, I realized that they really aren't all that complicated - so I set out to draw a number of them for myself. They turned out pretty good. It was great practice. Thanks!
