Make sure you are running the proper post processor in whatever CAM software you are using.

Sounds like you are using the wrong post processor, the commands that you are missing are:
SO,1,1
Pause 2
What processor are you using?

I think it is more something in the Shopbot setup if he is not seeing the start the spindle pop up

If there is no SO,1,1 in the post processor, then the msgbox prompting you to start the spindle doesn't show up. My PRT runs a 5hp Colombo and it isn't (by choice) interfaced to the control box. I don't get the pop up msgbox prompting me to turn on the spindle, because those commands are not in the post I use.

When I changed my PP and it didn't have the speed control the message would pop up.

The speed control is different from the spindle on/off.
Spindle on off is the SO command on output 1 whereas the speed control is TR and needs the speed control program to be running.
The latest post processors do the spindle on/off via the C6 and C9 commands.

Adrian,
In looking at the newest custom files, C6 and C9 do not have the SO,1,1 in them so how do they prompt/start the spindle?
The post processors I use for Aspire 4.5 still inserts the SO,1,1 in the cut file.

C6 calls the MTCon.sbp (manual tool changing) or ATCon.sbp (auto tool changer) those programs have the SO commands in them.
C7 (not C9, my mistake) does the same sort of calls to the off versions.
They cater for multiple spindles, drills etc. The manual tool change facility is something I use all the time and those files are integral to it.
I've been using the Post Processors with the C6, C7, C9 for a while now. The latest ones come with SB3 in the SBParts folder.

Shopbot fixed the problem in about 3 minuted.
I have to admit, this is why I bought the Shopbot in the first place.
They do stand behind there product better than most tech support!:)

John,
You can't just say SB fixed it in minutes (which is great) - without sharing with the rest in this discussion as to what the culprit was...

I'm having a similar problem. On previous files I've tried adding the S0,1,1 command to get things started with some positive resulsts but I see from previous successful toolpaths I've run generated by V-Carve prior to using Fusion the C6,C7 prompts are usually successful. The Fusion post processor I'm using is the Shopbot.cps one. The G-Code I'm having problems with has the following introductory and ending language:
' 1001
SA
IF %(25)=1 THEN GOTO UNIT_ERROR
&PWMaterial = 3.34
&PWZorigin = Part Surface
' Pocket
TR, 18000
C6
PAUSE 2
J3, 3.6505, 1.0371, 0.6
J3, 3.6505, 1.0371, 0.092
MS, 0.8333, 0.8333
M3, 3.6498, 1.0367, 0.0834
...
****main body of code left out to avoid obscenely long message****
...
M3, 3.2724, 1.1406, -2.8656
M3, 3.2721, 1.1406, -2.86
J3, 3.2721, 1.1406, 0.6
C7
JH
END
UNIT_ERROR:
CN, 91
END
Any help in revising this is greatly appreciated.

That isn't g-code. That is Shopbot code.

Have the providers of Fusion 360 send you a proper post processor, or check with ShopBot to see if they have one.

If you are using the ShopBot.cps, it outputs properly as far as I can see. The C6 and C7 are in the file, or at least the C6 and the spindle will automatically shut off at the end of the file without C7. Are you getting a specific error? You can also edit the post to suit your needs.
