Key words when I am selling a job now a days.

If you are trying to sell any kind of vinyl graphics or sign to a customer, what sells like 3M?

Just 2 years ago I decided to make a major move (IMO) to start using 3M vinyls exclusively. Brand recognition. In all forms, digital media, cast vinyl, etc.

Avery, Permacast, Oracal....and the list goes on. All excellent vinyl companies.....used them all over the years with great success.

When someone comes into my store now a days, I feel confident that when I explain the "simple" process that they can be assured I am not trying to "save $15 on a roll of vinyl cause there was a "big sale" .....Just sayin

Who could down a sign shop using 3M?

PVC....well Dr. Crumley is leading me down the path of PVC.

What other Sign company can say anything bad about using 3M and PVC?

I have a 19 year old shop ln Mpls [home of 3M] and used Gerber [3M]
for years till we started Inkjet printing... maybe 2005? Still use it for cut
vinyl and had anxiety about using Oracal for printing as N.Glanz didn't
have the 3M we wanted when we bought our first machine. I am getting
kinda senile but don't recall anyone ever asking what brand we used.
I have been using Joe's PVC lately and like it a lot [except the weight
of full sheets] Gene

As a 3m stockholder I probably should use 3m film and vinyl all the time.
As an installer it makes my life easier with wraps when I do installs for others.
As a shop owner I always been using Oracal for no particular reason. Newer had any failures. As far as brand recognition Oracal has factory 1 hour away.
