I know you guys have dealt with nutcases, but I doubt you've had to put up with something like this nutcase on our hands.

We've been getting calls at all hours for a couple of weeks now from a guy that has "anxiety". He won't stop calling, he just called again. His story - He was walking around and felt a pain in his shoulder and reached the conclusion that a bat bit him. So he's concerned about what he should do. At this point he's been to the Doctor who "refused to do anything." We won't tell him what to do. Nobody will help him! My wife has been dealing with it more patiently than myself. You never know the true agenda, is this a nutcase? Or some freak trying to get us to tell them off while recording the call? Or someone looking for a reason to sue?

We won't advise him to do anything but go to a Doctor, we are not medically trained, we are not licensed to give medical advice, you name it we've told him.

Though I can't do this over the phone what I would like to tell him is...

"OMG, really, man you're screwed! Whatever you do make sure you STAY INSIDE during any full moons. Doctors won't tell you this, but it's true, I've seen it happen, after being bitten like that... wait, was it your left shoulder (adjust to whatever he answers) Oh No! that's even worse because it's closer/farther from your heart! Oh man, I'm so sorry, just stay inside during full moons, trust me on this..."

Well... I'd like to anyway. I know the guy has issues and needs help so that's what we tell him.

FYI, we have a cell station for our business phone... none of us people here can figure out how to block numbers on it yet, but it looks like we are about to learn.

Harry,
Be careful with that one. You never know what mentally ill people might do. Or he may be whacked out on drugs.

Install Video Surveillance system. (not just cause of him, but they are great)

I was pressure washing my house last summer in the middle of the day. Had my headphones on, and noticed someone at my neighbors house hooking up to his trailer with 4 wheeler on it. It really didnt strike me as odd cause he has a lot of family in and out of there. (Although I had not seen that truck before) Anyway, neighbor comes over later that day while I was still working in the yard, asked if I saw someone steal his trailer and 4 wheeler? NOOO WAAAYYY I said. Son of a .....

These crazy people are getting bolder now a days. Right under my nose. That takes just plain crazy to me.

I live on the corner of our subdivision with a 16 channel camera system and 14 channels filled. I have NO blind spots in my surveillance all the way around house, on boat and small workshop. We have a security alarm system as well, One big dog, two small dogs and a few guns......(No, I'm not paranoid) But unfortunately now a days you just can't be too careful. IMO

I gave the cops an EXACT description of the truck and guy and the video footage of the truck entering subdivision passing my house towing nothing, and footage of him leaving with my neighbors property. I obviously have no angles at my neighbors driveways since I am not trying to be a weirdo spy or something......lol. It pissed me off to watch that video cause it was so close to home. After that happened my neighbor has since bought a very nice surveillance system that he has yet to install. And they never caught the guy either.

I've also just called the cell carrier support line and had them block a number calling me.

David,
I also have a camera system. I feel once the word is out that there are cameras in the area, people with bad ideas tend to avoid the us
I also found a film 3M makes that goes on the inside of your windows and you can't beat through them with a hammer. Kinda of makes the glass like a large flexible sheet. This is on my patio doors in the back of the house. Hoping it takes care of the smash and grab kids.

I agree that cameras make a great addition to security. Around here we can't see another house and if someone is hooking up to a trailer I better know who they are because it'll have to be my trailer. That's good and bad, because on the other hand while we are away no one is around to see what goes on. We have had people walking across the property that shouldn't be here and with only one exception it was benign (lost hunters, hunter looking for lost dog, hunter trying to find deer he shot, dog looking for lost hunter with one instance of teenagers looking to sneak into our pool)

Online call block did the trick in this case!
